You obviously know that I love to read and I love to travel—and I really love to combine the two. As much as I love going new places, trying new things, and visiting great sights, picking up a book is always on my to-do list while traveling.

And I love all the options for reading while traveling:
–Finding a café or restaurant where I can snuggle in with a glass of wine or sit outside with an iced coffee.
–Taking advantage of the big bathtub in my hotel bathroom. (Admittedly, not available—or advisable—in all countries.)
–Discovering the perfect bench under a draping tree or spot in the grass while visiting a park.
–Enjoying my morning coffee…and my book…while on my hotel balcony.
–Helping time pass while on the train, in the airport or on the airplane (the perfect time to pick up a book about your travel destination).
–Searching for an intriguing local library or bookstore to read…and people watch. J (I still remember the three-story book story in Bologna—gorgeous!)
–And who can forget laying on the beach or poolside with a paperback in your hand?

Traveling isn’t just for reading, of course (although for many it might be the only time they can actually find the time to read), but it’s certainly a good time to pick up a book!
